Hello, I'm Fautus! My name means "Lucky One" and it's an apt description. I not only survived being shot, but managed to come out of it relatively unscathed. The CMHS vet team got the bullet fragment out and my wounds sewed up, and I've regained good use of my forelimb. If that's not lucky, I don't know what is! I am so happy to be with my people, and love to be pet as often as possible. When I'm not pressing my head into you and curling up on your lap, I enjoy watching the birds, playing with catnip stuffies, and napping in the sunshine. ______________________________________ This cat came to the shelter with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder which partially included his shoulder joint. During his care at the shelter, his limb function improved and he appears to be comfortably using the limb. A large bullet fragment was removed surgically. Due to some joint involvement, it is possible that reduced range of motion and/or arthritis will develop in this joint which may require veterinary management.
