My story

Meet Zeus Zeus is a 2-year-old Boxer mix who weighs 42 lbs. and has already been through more than most dogs should. Sadly, his previous owners left him behind in the backyard—but Zeus never gave up hope. He immediately grew a connection to our Officer once out of the kennel. He hasn’t wanted to leave her side since. Zeus is animal-friendly and has done well with both dogs and cats. He takes a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’s your loyal shadow—following close, looking for reassurance, and soaking up every ounce of love. He is currently very stressed, so any kids in the home should be respectful and understanding of his need to decompress. Zeus would thrive with someone patient, loving, and ready to offer structure. He could really benefit from training—especially with learning not to jump and some basic manners—but he’s eager to please and truly opens up once he feels safe.
