My story

*** Matcha is in our Petsmart Encinitas adoption center. ***Matcha #19640: solid black, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 7/1/24Cats: best solo, can co-existDogs: unknownChildren: tweens+ BACKGROUND: An animal-lover found a friendly pregnant Matcha in her yard and, unable to locate a guardian, reached out to The Rescue House to see if we could help. Matcha gave birth shortly after arriving in foster care, has lovingly raised her kittens, and is now ready to find herself a forever home!PERSONALITY: Matcha is a long and lanky sweetheart. She is very friendly with people and loves to be scratched and petted. As she has been able to turn her attention to things other than mothering, she has gotten playful: she’ll scamper and dash around playing with toys as she goes and comes across them. Once she’s satisfied the itch to play, Matcha’s demeanor goes mellow, and she’ll seek out a warm sunbeam to get her naps in. Her energy resurges come mealtime: Matcha loves to eat and never misses a meal!COMPATIBILITY: Matcha would be great as a solo kitty. Once her kittens were independent, she was happy to move on from them and has not been interested in making friends with adult cats though she can co-exist without issue. We don’t know her thoughts on dogs. Gentle tweens and up should work well.Will Matcha make a match with you?
