My story

Meet Katie!This spirited little lady is an 8-year-old, 12-pound Jack Russell Terrier mix with a big personality and even bigger heart. Katie was surrendered through no fault of her own, and she’s ready to find a loving forever home where she can shine.Though Katie doesn’t see or hear very well, you’d never guess it—she’s full of energy, always on the go, and keeps up with the best of them! She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, walks great on a leash, uses the doggy door like a pro, and absolutely adores car rides (as long as she’s with her person, of course).Katie recently had four large bladder stones removed and is recovering well. To keep her feeling her best, she’ll need to stay on a special diet to prevent new stones from forming. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it.
