My story

Leonard is a 70-pound Labrador puppy with a big heart and plenty of energy to match. He is strong, playful, and still learning how to channel his excitement appropriately.Leonard is figuring out how to navigate the world with four big paws and a full-speed-ahead personality, so he’ll need a home that’s ready to commit to training and structure. His ideal adopters will be patient, and positive, helping him build on the great dog he already is.Leonard will thrive in a home that understands the importance of structure, training, and consistency. He jumps up and barks when excited and needs help. Because of this, he’s best suited to a home with adults and older kids (teens and up). While his behaviors come from a place of excitement, they can be overwhelming and rough.He loves plush toys and would enjoy enrichment activities to keep his growing mind busy. Most of all, Leonard needs someone willing to invest the time in training and helping him grow into the well-mannered companion he could become. He likes to go for rides in the car and also may be able to live with other dogs, but they would have to meet first.If you`re ready to put in the work, Leonard is ready to meet you—with a toy in his mouth and a lot of love to give.
