My story

Meet Penny Sue – a big, gentle sweetheart with a calm soul and a heart full of love! This beautiful 74-pound Shepherd mix is as laid-back and loving as they come. She walks wonderfully on a leash, is friendly with other dogs, and enjoys simply being part of the pack. Whether she's lounging around the house or taking a leisurely stroll, Penny Sue is the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow, affectionate pup. She’s both house and crate trained, treat motivated, and always eager to please, making her an easy addition to just about any home. Penny Sue has a kind, steady presence that makes her a joy to be around, and her relaxed nature is sure to win you over. She would do well in a home with respectful children who understand gentle boundaries and love a calm, cuddly dog. Penny Sue was found as a stray, very skinny and in need of care, but she’s come a long way and is now thriving in her foster home. She was born on May 15, 2021, and is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas. She’s ready to find a forever family who appreciates a loyal, low-key best friend.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
