Meet Colonel, a handsome chocolate-colored Golden Retriever/Lab mix with a long, silky coat and a heart full of love. Found as a stray in southern Illinois, Colonel has clearly known both hardship and kindness—he’s a resilient soul with a gentle spirit. This adult boy has a calm, easygoing demeanor and thrives on human companionship. Whether he`s lounging by your feet or enjoying a peaceful walk, Colonel is happiest when he`s by your side. He gets along well with people and would do best in a home that appreciates his laid-back nature and gives him the stability he deserves. The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Thursday & Friday, 4 pm-8 pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
