My story

Meet Rumi! This friendly, wiggly girl is always happy to see you and greets everyone with a joyful tail wag and a loose, happy body wiggle. She’s a social butterfly who loves attention and is ready to make new friends wherever she goes. Rumi walks pretty well on the leash—she may pull a little at times, but she’s overall easy to handle and responsive. She knows `sit` (especially when treats are involved!), appears to be house-trained, and is happy to soak up pets and affection from her people. She gives the most adorable head tilts at times.Rumi enjoyed a fun Dog’s Day Out adventure and showed off what a wonderful companion she is. She was very social, happily wagging her tail as people passed and eagerly soaking up pets from friendly strangers. Rumi is VERY housebroken and has excellent manners when it comes to treats—taking them ever so gently.She hopped right into the car like a pro and settled in quickly. While she did whine on the way there, she was completely relaxed and quiet for the ride back. She is still working on her leash skills and has lots of enthusiasm for an adventure! With her sweet personality, social nature, and zest for life, we think this girl will be adopted quickly!Rumi recently proved to be the perfect houseguest during a slumber party with a volunteer, showing just how easy and lovable she is. This sweetheart is equal parts affectionate companion and couch potato. She is housebroken, respectful of furniture, and only hops up when invited. Rumi also makes a wonderful work-from-home buddy, content to lounge nearby until it’s time for a belly rub break, and she’s always happy to snuggle up for a cozy Netflix night.She also handles everyday adventures with ease—she’s a fantastic passenger in the car, was a champ during bath time, and adores affection from her people. On walks, Rumi can get a little excited and pull on the leash, but it’s manageable and simply part of her zest for life. With her sweet personality and great manners, Rumi is ready to bring love, joy, and companionship into her forever home.Rumi is rowdy with her friends and would like to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match. She would prefer a home without small animals.I`m a VIP because I`m still learning, and the shelter can be a tough place for dogs like me to shine.
