My story

Meet Pearl, a wiggly girl full of love and cuddles! Pearl is a stunning girl, who will often jump up and give kisses to express her love for you. She was brought in by a good samaritan who said Pearl was running back and forth on her block and didn't want her to be hit by a car. Since getting to the shelter Pearl has had many visitors stop by her kennel and she's greeted each of them with tail wags. She's hoping she catches someone's attention soon to get a quick ride outta the shelter! She is now available for adoption at ACCT Philly- you can meet her any day from 10am-6pm! She gently walked towards me when I approached her kennel with a wiggly body and gently wagging tail. I opened the door and easily slipped the leash right over her head. Leash: She walks with some minimal pulling, and is responsive to direction on leash. Handling: Outside in the play yard she is super wiggly, jumping up on me to get pets. She is very open to handling and takes pets all over! She is super treat motivated and is a bit snatchy with them so make sure to give with an open palm. Even with taking them a little snatchy she is very gentle overall! Quite jumpy when she’s excited. Love to chase after toys in the play yard, didn’t seem to fetch them back to me. Mostly interested in treats- even when I was just sitting there, she was trying to get her snout into my fanny pack to get the hotdogs out. I was in the volunteer office and a volunteer drove a cart of supplies into the room and Pearl hard barked at her, then started wagging tail and went towards her to solicit attention. No issues going back into kennel. Color: Gave her double gold due to jumpiness and easy to startle. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
