My story

1 year old, German shepherd mix, male Personality: affectionate, playful, gentle, shy, smart, eager-to-please, timid/fearful, quiet, and calm. Roman is ready to conquer your heart! He may start off a little shy, but give him a moment (and a soft spot on the couch) and you’ll soon have a cuddly, loyal companion with a big heart. He’s already picking up household routines like a pro, happy to chill as you work from home or “help” you with household chores. Roman is an eager learner who quickly understands what’s off limits, and he’s making great progress with house training. This adaptable guy loves to be right by your side! He’s quiet, calm, and content just to be part of your day. When it's time to socialize, he lights up at the dog park and is always excited to meet new people. Roman is a blend of mellow and playful, smart and snuggly, curious and calm. You’ll know his confidence is coming out when that tail starts to wag higher and higher. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. Not Ready to commit to adopting yet?
