Meet Kacie!With Kacie, you won’t be able to decide whether to be awed by her intelligence, touched by her fierce loyalty, or rolling with laughter at her comical antics!This adorable border collie/heeler mix had a tough start to life when she was dumped along a country road with her sister and her mom. Then, just days after being rescued by Mutts and as she was beginning to settle into the pleasure of good food and a safe place to live, Kacie’s sister got sick. Watching Kacie demonstrate her concern for her sister by cuddling with her and even barking at her to get her up was heartwarming. She continues to show that same protectiveness with whichever canine in her pack appears to be the underdog at the moment, and she will jump in to even the sides of a situation.Kacie is full of delightful puppy energy and excitement, always eager to explore and figure her way around any obstacles in her path. She is incredibly smart, eager to please, and treat oriented.She would do best with a playful canine sibling who can teach her “dog stuff,” share her excitement for a run around the yard, and be her cuddle buddy during nap time. Kacie was born in April 2025 and is being fostered in Texas. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
