My story

Meet Lacy — the real-life dog emoji come to life! From the spot over her eye(s) to her signature blep, she’s got that instantly lovable, familiar look. But it’s her gentle spirit, resilience, and endless sweetness that truly make her unforgettable. Lacy was found as a stray in Prince George’s County and placed on the euthanasia list through no fault of her own. She arrived painfully thin, her ribs and spine visible, and flinched at sudden movements — silent signs of a past that likely lacked kindness. But even after all she’s endured, Lacy is full of love and has blossomed in her foster home. She’s house trained, crate trained, and non-destructive when left alone. Lacy adores kids, is tolerant of calm cats, and has a low to medium energy level. Her favorite things? Tennis balls and couch snuggles.
