ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Paco Age: Around 9 years old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Shih Tzu Colour: White/ Brown Weight: 6kg / 13.2lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hey there! I’m Paco — I was rescued just in the nick of time from the euthanasia list at a city pound. Now, I’m healthy, hopeful, and ready to find my forever family to love and cherish me!    MY HEALTH   Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete)  I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY Volunteers and staff often say I seem like I once had a loving home. I walk nicely on leash and absolutely adore being around people. With my charming Shih Tzu looks and sweet personality, I’m sure to steal your heart in no time! MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a bit shy at first, but a few treats are all it takes for me to warm up quickly. I love gentle pets and snuggling, and you can easily pick me up. I don’t guard my food around people, so you can feel safe and relaxed with me.   With Dogs: I’m definitely more of a people pup—I much prefer spending time with my human friends over playing with other dogs. I tend to be indifferent toward my doggy playmates and like to do my own thing. That said, I’m polite around them and don’t guard my food, even when they’re nearby.   With Cats:  I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet so my reaction is unknown.       ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a low energy level and proudly embrace my inner couch potato! I’m perfectly content lounging around, relaxing, and soaking up all the calm moments. I don’t need a ton of exercise or running around—just a cozy spot to rest and a loving human by my side.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m a polite little walker and follow my handler’s lead nicely on leash. I’m also very quiet and rarely bark—just a peaceful presence in your home. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and I’m comfortable pottying both indoors and outdoors, though I might do a little marking in a brand-new space (just until I get familiar with it!). Car rides make me a bit nervous, but if you hold me in your arms, I’ll feel much safer and more secure.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help guide and let me become my best self. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family who can provide me with a calm, structured, and safe environment. A family who likes to do outdoors activities and spend time together. A family who is willing to shower me with love and affection.   SPECIAL NOTES I may be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly with a few tasty treats and gentle affection. I absolutely love being around people—I'm much more into human companionship than dog playtime. I'm a calm, low-energy kind of guy who’s happiest lounging by your side or cuddling in your arms. I walk well on leash, rarely bark, and know how to rest quietly in my kennel. I’m also potty trained both indoors and outdoors, though I might do a little marking in new places until I settle in. Car rides can be a bit scary for me, but if you hold me close, I feel safe.
