My story

DESPERATE FOSTER HOME PLEA... Betty (3 years old) and her dad Traveler (4 years old) are a beautiful bonded pair of Goldens that were rescued from living tethered to a tin hut outdoors in horrid living conditions. Sadly they have tested positive for heartworm and are desperately looking for a laid back foster home where they can go through their heartworm treatments, as they are at the GRRAND kennel and can not go through treatments there. During this time they need to be kept very calm, which honestly isn't an issue, as they just love to cuddle with each other.  They are very sweet, but fearful, and learning to trust people. They have been with GRRAND since July and have already come a long way with gentle hands and loving words. They let us pet them now and will gently take treats from our hands. They will need a family that has the time and patience to support them and help them through all of the adjustments of being in a new environment, and help them work through their fears and insecurities. As they are scared and timid, they will need a home with a secure above ground fenced yard to keep them safe and contained. We can't wait until Betty and Traveler get to experience a warm and loving home, a nice plushy bed, dog toys and ALL of the good things dogs are supposed to have in their lives with us.
