My story

¡Hola! We’re Marcario and Maria Elena — brother and sister, best friends, and survivors with big hearts and even bigger purrs. We had a rough start to life. When we were tiny, we were rescued from a drainage ditch in Nogales, Arizona — soaking wet, shivering, and way too young to be out on our own. But thanks to some kind humans, we were scooped up, dried off, and given a second chance. Our mama is from Mexico, and we were born on the U.S. side, so yep — we’re proud naturalized citizens of the borderlands! I'm Maria Elena! I've got this sweet little trill when you call my name, and guess what? We both come when called! No kidding. We know our names and we like humans — especially their chests, laps, and shoulders. That’s where we sleep now. Right on top of the people we love most. My brother Marcario is the bigger one and a little braver at first. But me? I've got spirit and sass and keeps Marcario on his toe beans. We do everything together. We eat side-by-side, nap in a cuddle puddle, wrestle (I win more than he'll admit), and yes, we even poop at the same time. Bonded is an understatement — we’re a team. We’re delightful little furballs full of charm, snuggles, and synchronized zoomies. The only thing we’re missing is a forever home — but only if we can go together. Where one of us goes, the other follows. Always.
