My story

Meet Pepper – The Sweet One-Eyed Wonder!Pepper is an adorable Belgian Malinois mix who has been in my care for about a month. She came to the shelter with an injury to her right eye, which has since been removed, and she is now fully healed. Having one eye hasn’t slowed her down one bit—this girl is full of life and love!At around 12 weeks old, Pepper is about 90% potty trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit and come when called. She’s a smart little retriever of toys, takes treats gently, and doesn’t resource guard.Like any puppy, she still has a mischievous side—she may shred a stuffed toy, dig in the garden, or nip when she gets overly excited. She’s learning boundaries and does well with the resident female dog in her foster home, even taking correction when she gets too play-ful. Pepper is not an alpha dog.We are working on leash manners in the backyard, and she rides calmly in the car. Since she isn’t fully vaccinated yet, Pepper hasn’t met other dogs outside her foster home and hasn’t had any exposure to cats.Pepper loves people! She’s enjoyed the company of many visitors and soaks up attention. As her foster mom, I can guarantee she’ll make a wonderful pet for a family where someone is often home—she’s a true Velcro dog. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will follow you everywhere, Pepper might be your perfect match. Please contact her foster mom to schedule a meet and greet or for additional information: pattykfrank@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt PEPPER, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
