My story

Meet Bejie (pronounced "B G" – From Backroad Survivor to Playful Pack Member! Bejie’s story began on a quiet rural road in Smith County, Texas, where she was dumped and left to survive the intense summer heat and thunderstorms on her own. For weeks, she lived outside—scared, alone, and unsure who to trust. But everything changed when her foster family patiently earned her trust, first in their yard and eventually inside their home. Once Bejie experienced the magic of air conditioning and the safety of a cozy indoor life, she began to relax and learn what it means to be loved. At first terrified of humans, she’s now blossoming into a playful, affectionate dog who enjoys gentle pets and companionship. Bejie especially shines when she’s with other dogs—she absolutely loves to play! Big dogs, small dogs, male or female—she’s happy to make friends and join in the fun. She’s respectful of barn cats and has no interest in chasing or bothering them. While she’s still learning the ropes of being a confident indoor pup, Bejie is smart, sweet, and full of potential. She thrives in the company of other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion to help her continue growing. Bejie will be spayed and fully vaccinated by August 4th.
