You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Hi! My name is Diesel. I am a 2 year old big guy  with an even bigger heart! I am a handsome Mastiff mix who looooves being outside. I am so thankful I was saved in the knick of time and able to get here to Minnesota! My current foster mom saved me from being euthanized in an animal control facility out-of-state. While I was in animal control, I was so stressed and wasn't being fed enough, and lost a bunch of weight. Now, I get a continuous bowl full of delicious food and treats and I’m finally getting back to looking fabulous! I’m around 125lbs now, and feeling so much better. I originally lived with a nice family, with human kids and a medium/large sized female dog friend in my home. I am a big guy and I really need larger sized doggie friends to play with - and slow introductions are very important so I feel comfortable. Small, tiny dogs look more like toys to me. I have not been around cats, but seeing how I feel about small dogs, it might be best to not have me around cats either.  I know how to sit, especially when I get treats. At times I get excited and jump up to give hugs and kisses, but my foster mom is teaching me to stay down. When I go for walks, I like a harness. I love all the looks and attention I get when people see me, and do like to vocalize back to show my excitement. So I really wouldn't do well in an apartment or big city. I don’t need tons of exercise, just a big yard (or gosh, a farm would be AMAZING!) with a shady tree or two to lie under. Would you please consider me for your next bestest friend?
