My story

    Hello, my name is Linky West! I’m an 8 year old, 15 pound, rat terrier mix. I’m a spunky and sweet girl who is a bit shy at first, but I warm up to people quickly, especially if you have my favorite treats.   I had a loving person, but they passed away. I was left alone in an abandoned house with only my fur friends and the occasional visitor to feed me. It’s not surprising that I am loving life in my foster home where I have nonstop human companionship and furry friendships. I also started playing with toys and they are so fun! I am house trained too!   I get along well with other dogs and cats too. I love people (except the vet), but probably need a home without small children because I can be jumpy & mouthy for attention. I bond deeply with my person, so I would like someone who is home often, or a doggy friend to keep me company. I have some minor separation anxiety, so a home without shared walls is probably a good idea.   I tried a crate once, but I was not a fan. It’s okay though because I’m a good girl when left out to roam freely. I can walk on a leash, but I’m uncomfortable with collars and harnesses being placed over my head, so a fenced yard is strongly preferred.   I had a rough spell, but life is looking up lately.
