My story
Licorice is a resilient and handsome pup with a sweet streak that matches his name! This strong boy recently underwent abdominal surgery on 7/24/25 to remove a foreign object (he got a little too curious with a toy!), but he recovered like a champ. He’s eating well, full of personality, and hasn’t had any issues post-op—just a happy tail and a big heart. When Licorice first arrived, he was showing signs of stress—likely because he wasn’t feeling well. Since his surgery, his behavior has improved dramatically! Licorice is brave, bouncy, and ready for the next chapter—whether it’s in a foster home or a forever one. If you’re looking for a big-hearted pup with a second chance at life, Licorice is your guy.
