My story

Darci (fka Sally) is a lovely DSH brown/gray tabby female born approximately 5/28/2017. Sally, now Darci, originally came to NBCR along with her six siblings after being rescued by a good Samaritan. She was then adopted as a kitten into a loving home. Sadly, she is now being returned to us (through no fault of her own) as her family's living situation changed. She would like to find a true forever home to live out the rest of her golden years.  Darci embodies a radiant spirit, blossoming in serene surroundings where love and peace reign. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Darci’s previous owner is unable to care for her. Though she has harmoniously coexisted with two feline friends and several dogs, the commotion would often stress her out causing her to hide. When feeling safe her true essence shines! You'll frequently discover Darci meowing and gently nudging her head against you for scritches, in a gesture of trust. She also enjoys a gentle grooming session with a brush and will never let you forget when it’s dinner time. She does prefer dry food over wet and loves to drink/play with water from a dripping faucet. She also enjoys keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood by perching in a windowsill and sunbathing.  Darci yearns for a peaceful sanctuary to flourish and reciprocate affection. If you're seeking a compassionate companion who merits extra love and understanding, Darci might be your ideal match.
