My story

Kara is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Kara is: Spayed: Yes Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Kara: Housebroken: Doing well overall when on a consistent routine Crate trained: She has done well with free roam when home alone, which she prefers to being crated Leash walking: Working on it! She can tend to pull and will need to keep working on this with positive reinforcement training Dog social: She lives with a calm, medium-sized resident dog in her foster home and has been doing well. She is likely not a match for small dogs due to her prey drive. Cat social: Unknown, but has shown prey drive toward small critters so is likely not a match Kid friendly: Unknown Kara likes: - Learning new things – she'll do anything for treats! - Cuddling on the couch with you - Going for car rides and walks Kara is a boomerang - she bounced back from kennel cough and malnutrition and is a resilient and wonderful dog! She is smart - knowing to go into her kennel to wait for dinner and eagerly learning 'leave it' while on walks. Her blue eyes radiate love and she will be at your side 24/7 if you let her. She's down for some tug of war or being a couch potato while you binge reality TV. This girl has healed and is ready for a forever home that will spoil her with treats, head scratches, and comfy beds to nap in. Kara came to OTAT severely underweight, and has been working to reach a healthy weight while in our care. Kara's adoption fee is $300, and she is ready to love on her forever family! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kara, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
