I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:11Avalon – Slender, Soft, and Soulful Avalon is a young, 64-pound Husky with mesmerizing eyes—each marked with sectoral heterochromia—that give him a gaze as unique as his gentle personality. He’s a captivating mix of elegance and affection, with just the right balance of independence and connection. Loves affection: This handsome boy leans right in for hip scratches and will stay close as long as you’re giving him attention. If you pause, he might glance back with a hopeful look that says, “More, please?” Responsive & food-motivated: Avalon eagerly offers a sit and even a down for treats. He trots over with a joyful, bouncy step when called, happy to reconnect. Independent yet connected: When not engaged, Avalon is perfectly content exploring the yard on his own with graceful, cat-like steps and a relaxed tail wag. He’ll check in from time to time—just to let you know he’s still your guy. Easygoing on leash: Enjoys a relaxed prance on walks with some mild pulling, but nothing too challenging. Dog-social: Avalon plays well with other appropriately matched dogs, making him a great candidate for a canine companion or as a solo dog with doggy friends outside the home.
