Pending adoption. We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 8/9/25 to NorCal, OR, WA, ID, and CO. We are combining our Trip up north with our trip cross country this time, so surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Daisy to our trip for the right home! Meet our sweet girl Daisy 💕 She is a purebred shih tzu. She weighs 9.5 lbs. She still has a little growth left, but nothing major. She is naturally smaller framed. She turns 1 year of age on 12/30/25. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and has been examined by our vet who has cleared her to find a home all her own 😊 She is a very docile, submissive, laid back sweetheart of a dog. She is shy when meeting anyone new, but that won't stop her from melting in your arms. She enjoys being snuggled so much that her shyness doesn't have a chance in that moment to steal her joy no matter how hard it tries ❤️❤️ She is wonderful with other dogs, and cats alike. She would do best with another sweet friend. She loves to play, but is very quiet, and sweet about how she interacts. She isn't overbearing whatsoever, and has a very easy going demeanor. She is just happy having a favorite toy to play with, and a friend to enjoy that moment with as well if there is one around to do so. If you don't have any other animals, she will look to you to become her playtime buddy so if you have the time to fill her days and heart with a little bit of what makes her happy, she will do the same for you, I assure you 😊 She loves the groomer, and has learned that spa days are filled with relaxation along with snuggles, because why not! Everyone that meets her LOVES her so cuddling her comes natural, especially when she is all dolled up and smelling great! She loves road trips, and will snuggle in your lap if safe to do so. If not, she will happily lay in her own bed, or in a booster seat most likely napping til you reach our destination. She really enjoys her naps! If you love to travel, or just have a friend with you while running errands around town then she is your girl ☺️ She is not a barker, but has learned to express her feelings in matters 🙃 She is very expressive in how she communicates with you and I don't know wether to laugh, or melt half the time but she sure warms my heart every time so I've learned saying yes, is an absolute must more than it's not to keep her heart happy because that's what matters most 🥰 She is doing very good with house training. She is on a schedule throughout the day going outside to use the restroom every 3 hours so we recommend having a similar routine in her next home since it's been working so beautifully with her 😊 She is crate trained. She does like sharing her crate with another dog friend to keep her company at night, but if you don't have a companion for her to do that with in her next home I would reccomend having the crate near you, or placing a stuffed animal with her to cozy up next to, to help mimic having a friend near her still unless you want to change her sleeping arrangement all around then that's fine too! She is very adaptable and I'm sure she would love ditching the crate, and being in a bed of her own, or in bed snuggled next to you 🥰 Leash training is something that will need to be continued in her next home, but she is learning the concept of it here with us in the meantime. She wasn't ever really walked in her last home, as it was easier to carry her. They felt with her being so young it was something they could work on as she matured. Sadly they weren't able to make it to that point with her before having to let her go. Her previous owner's senior dog was not being very nice to Daisy. They didn't want to give her up, but knew it was selfish to keep her. Their senior was set in her ways, stubborn and grumpy. She wanted no part of a new puppy which left Daisy very sad and isolated so that she wouldn't get hurt. They loved her, but in order for her to live a life where she was able to be welcomed by everyone in her home they knew saying goodbye was the right thing to do in the end so they reached out to us to take her in and find her a great family that would love her the way she deserved to be loved 🥰 Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/daisy-5Daisy 💕 It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, antibiotic injection given to aid in her spay, her exam with our vet, the care involved in the few months she has been with us, her grooming costs, and training we have personally done with her 💕
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Daisy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
