My story

Ohso is a 5-year-old, 17-pound Pomeranian and Pug mix with a happy-go-lucky personality and an irresistible smile. He was surrendered to Shelter Hope after his previous owner was forced to move and could no longer care for him. Sadly, Ohso had lived outside in their backyard. Even after spending so much time on his own outdoors, Ohso remains incredibly sweet, friendly, and eager to connect. He loves people, gets along well with other dogs, and has a cheerful, easygoing energy that makes him a joy to be around. Whether he’s soaking up affection or tagging along with volunteers, Ohso is always ready to share his warmth and happy spirit. Now settling into life at Shelter Hope, Ohso is learning to enjoy the comforts of indoor living and regular companionship. He’s adjusting beautifully and is clearly ready for a fresh start. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please Keep in Mind: Due to high demand, especially for popular dogs, not all applicants will be contacted. Moreover, we may not reach out if we have already approved a family to adopt.
