My story

Meet MISTY MAY, nicknamed Maysville for the rural area in which she was found. We know that the 3rd time is a charm for MISTY. You see, she was dumped out in the country near a quarter horse operation. Horse people are real particular about their mares and foals and they threatened to shoot her!!!! if animal control didn't pick her up immediately. Unfortunately, the property was county jurisdiction and the city run shelter in the neighboring area could not help. So instead of shooting her, the man dumped her a for the 2nd time!!!! at another neighbor who again reached out to the same shelter. Fortunately, she did not strike out the 3rd time. The shelter called one of our board members and begged for help. We couldn't turn our backs on this girl. We know there is A Lab For Life adopter just waiting to make her part of their family. A little bit about MISTY. She's estimated at 1 year old and very well mannered and smart. It only took a couple of hours at her foster's house to learn the joys of air conditioned living. She walks pretty well on leash and has a playful personality with other dogs. MISTY is long-bodied and could add a few pounds. She has an adorable tail that curls when happy. MISTY will make a great addition to most any family. She's hoping her people see her profile and scoop her up very soon. She will repay you with loyalty and endless love.
