Meet Ozzie! đ Ozzie is a blue merle Queensland Heeler mix with striking black and white markings. He is an affectionate and fun, 1 ½ year-old boy who weighs 45 lbs. Ozzie is house, crate and leash trained. He is only crated when his owner runs errands - never more than a couple hours, once a week. Ozzie knows âsit,â âdownâ and âgive paw.â He also rides well in a car. He responds well to having a schedule and requires daily walks. True to his breed, he is very athletic and intelligent. He has boundless energy and is always ready for an adventure. Ozzie would love a large grassy, fenced yard where he can run and play ball. Yet, he settles well and enjoys his snuggle time with his human. Ozzie does need more training to improve his behavior around other dogs. He gets overly excited when he encounters another dog at a park or on a trail, and plays too rough. He will not do well in a home with small dogs and NO cats. He is a quiet boy - he rarely barks. Ozzie will jump up on people and has to be told âdown.â He means no harm, but he could easily knock down small children or older adults. He has no experience with children. Ozzie is a great dog in his current home with his senior owner, whose health challenges are making it difficult to give Ozzie the exercise, socialization and continued training that Ozzie needs. Ozzie would also do best in a home where his owner works from home or is retired and active. Ozzie is sure to excel with a new owner who is dog savvy, knows the breed well, and is dedicated to giving Ozzie exercise, structure and additional training. United Animal Friends offers very affordable training with Ozzieâs former trainer. For more training information go to: meetup.com/UnitedAnimalFriends đžđđž Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. If you live in the Prescott Az area please go to our website unitedanimalfriends.org and learn more about fostering!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ozzie (Courtesy Listing), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
