My story

UHA5708312/ #A5708312 Meet Rush , an 11-year-old Cane Corso mix with a velvety black coat and the sweetest sprinkle of gray on his snoot - like powdered sugar on a perfect treat. This mellow gentleman is the definition of soulful, with a heart full of love and a deep appreciation for cozy naps and gentle walks. He’s the perfect companion for anyone seeking a calm, snuggly best friend to share the quiet moments in life. Rush is great on leash, seems potty trained, knows his basic commands (sit for snacks, anyone?), and melts into cuddles like he was made for it. Senior dogs like Rush have so much love to give - all they ask is for a soft place to land and someone to share their golden years with. &#226&#156&#168 Could that someone be you?   -11 year old black Cane Corso mix -59 pound male - has not been neutered due to his age -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! However, Rush has a few little lumps and bumps that are common with old age, so he will need to be adopted on a health waiver - adopter to follow up with own vet for further diagnostics and potential treatment -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 6/23/25 as a stray -velvety soft jet black coat with a sprinkle of powdered sugar across his perfectly boopable snoot -such a gentle, mellow, soulful old man, just looking for a quiet, patient home where he can enjoy his golden years with love, cozy naps, and easy walks -would be the perfect addition to any family, especially one looking for a more laid back pup - seniors like Rush have so much love to give!  -easy to integrate into any household - good on leash, shows strong signs of potty training, already knows basic commands like sit and is very treat motivated, and has a very chill, easy going personality that makes for excellent snuggles and cuddly companionship    ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed above. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.July 31, 2025, 2:16 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rush, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
