My story

Benjamin is ready for a fresh start and a forever home—one filled with love, patience, and all the good things life has to offer! At just 8 months old and around 40 lbs, this sweet pup will grow into a large dog, and he deserves to do that in a home, not a shelter.Benjamin was found abandoned in the heat, tied to a sign in a vacant lot. Understandably, he may take a moment to fully trust—but once he does, you’ll see just how special he is. In his foster home, Benjamin has truly begun to flourish and seems to be house-trained. He loves playing with toys, taking naps, and exploring his surroundings. He responds well to redirection, isn’t interested in people food or household items, and settles into his crate with ease.Benjamin is still young and, like any pup, will benefit from continued guidance and training. But his foundation is solid, and he’s eager to keep learning. This resilient boy is ready for his “do-over”—could you be the one to help him write his happily ever after?Like all our dogs, Benjamin will need to meet future canine companions before going home. Our shelter staff will lead their introductions in a safe environment to see if they are compatible. Benjamin is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready for a loving forever home!His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
