My story

This bouncy, happy-go-lucky pup is a bundle of energy wrapped in love. At just 2 years old, Polo Soxs is still very much a playful puppy at heart who thrives on attention and affection. He’s a social butterfly who loves people and gets the zoomies when he’s outside, wiggling and bouncing around with pure joy. Once out of his kennel, Polo shows off his fun-loving personality, running around and soaking up all the pets and praise you’re willing to give. He knows how to sit, can catch treats like a pro -even if he gets a little excited about them, and is always ready for playtime. He’s got a soft heart and a whole lot of potential with continued training and structure. Polo Soxs came from a home where he was much loved, but life circumstances meant they could no longer care for him. He’s house-trained, friendly with kids and other dogs, and would do best with an active adopter or family who can match his energy. Bonus points if there’s a backyard to romp in and someone around often, Polo really thrives with company. Come meet Polo at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm VIDEO Playgroup 8/2: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnvoGYrJkIb2PUBow5he5kM_oPpeR2Qr Hazel, Broadlight, Scar & Polo Soxs: https://youtube.com/shorts/X-4eqMehSVk?si=NR2840bkTRLG2m5s Boomie and Polo Soxs meet: https://youtube.com/shorts/9f_25i7SFp0?feature=share BEHAVIOR per volunteer 8/14: Polo Soxs was recommended as a fantastic runner and star member of the running team! He definitely loves to run. He was fast asleep on his bed and I observed that he keeps his kennel very tidy. Polo Soxs is easy to leash and walks calmly through the shelter outside. He never pulls on the leash and runs steadily with focus. I offered him treats but he preferred to nibble the grass lol. Polo Soxs seems to go with the flow. 08/06/2025 staff notes: Kennel Presentation: Polo Soxs was at the front of his kennel alert barking with soft eyes and a mid level wagging tail. He was very aroused as i tried opening the kennel door. he was hard to leash and kept jumping up on the kennel door, trying to push to and pawing at the leash. once finally secured with a big loop he rushed out Leash Skills: pulled moderately Sociability: Outside he went to the bathroom and had lots of bouncy puppy energy. He ran into the yard and would jump all over me gently. he allowed all handling and was super loose and wiggly with me. he took treats a bit snatchy but knew how to sit and could catch them well. Play: engaged in lots of play -- super wiggly Dog Interaction: N/A Return to Kennel: Needed lots of leash pressure to return Color Level: blue Recommendations and considerations: MEDICAL Tech Exam 08/03/2025 | 6:33 pm Subjective Pink slip on kennel "8/1- blood in stool" removed from kennel during dog walkthrough Assessment GI upset, stress vs parasites Plan TX: Start fortiflora canine 1 packet mixed into wet food SID x 5 days If symptoms persist or worsen, consider longer deworming treatment and/or anitbiotics Tech Exam: Canine URI 08/03/2025 | 12:33 pm Assessment This dog has been observed to have shelter acquired upper respiratory infection (URI), or a "doggy cold".
