My story

Nickname: Starboard Meet Star Crunch—a one-year-old pup with a tough start and a heart ready to love. He and his brother, Nutty Buddy, were heartbreakingly abandoned on a highway in rural Tennessee. Thankfully, they were rescued just in time, shaken but safe. Since then, Star has truly blossomed. He’s a handsome guy who loves meeting new people, going for walks, and snuggling up in a cozy blanket afterward. He’s very housebroken here, a total treat-lover, and while he can be a little spirited at times, he’s working hard on his manners and improving every day. Since arriving in NY, Star’s been feeling a bit too cool for his brother—he’s not interested in playgroups with him and prefers his own space from him. While he got along great with other dogs in his previous shelter, he’s a bit pickier now, so a dog meet is a must to make a good friendship. This cuddly, treat-motivated superstar is bursting with potential and charm. After everything he’s been through, Star truly deserves a loving forever family to call his own.
