My story

Meet Pearl, a petite, young Doberman with a heart full of love and legs built for zoomies! Found wandering the streets of Kansas alongside two littermates (Ember and Sophie), Pearl came into rescue underweight and unsure, but she hasn’t let her rough start dim her joyful spirit. She is estimated to be just over a year and a half old. She’s a true Velcro dog, happiest when she’s right by your side, following your every move with her big, curious eyes. Pearl is wonderfully social with other dogs and does great with cats, too. While she hasn’t been around young children just yet, she’s a quick learner and eager to please. She’s on the more timid side, especially in new environments, so she’ll thrive with a patient family willing to help her build confidence through positive exposure. There’s no food aggression or guarding behavior, just nonstop sweetness and energy. She’s still learning the basics (like Sit, Stay, and Down), but she’s doing great with her crate routine, sleeping soundly at night, and resting calmly while her foster family is away. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN.
