Introducing Dora! This shy girlie was brought to the shelter when her family became overwhelmed with too many pets to care for. Dora is one of our Special Care animals, meaning she will need some extra love and care once adopted. Dora is currently on behavior medication to manage her stress and fear of new environments. The shelter can be a loud and scary place for a young girl going through so many changes. Dora is fearful in the shelter and could use a quiet place to come out of her shell. She eventually became affectionate with staff - crawling into our laps for comfort. Most recently, in her foster home, she has been thriving and showed her playful side! Dora needs some time and space in a home environment to allow her personality to come out. We can`t wait to see her start acting like a real dog. If you have a quiet home and a heart full of love and patience, please apply to meet Dora at this link: https://forms.office.com/r/DvHU7LDmbj
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Dora, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
