Meet Bruiser – The Big-Hearted Goofball Looking for a Fresh Start!Bruiser is a 63-pound male Rottweiler mix who was found as a stray, but he`s ready to leave his rough past behind and find a family to love. He is estimated to be 1 year old. With a strong frame and a playful spirit, Bruiser is equal parts brawn and charm.He can be strong on leash, but he’s got a sweet habit of checking in with you on walks — just to make sure you’re doing okay. He’s attentive, eager to connect, and absolutely lives for a good game of tug-of-war with his toys. Like many playful young dogs, he can be a little mouthy when excited, so continued training and structure will help him thrive.Bruiser has shown great potential with other dogs at the shelter, and with a proper introduction, he could be a great companion to another pup. A meet and greet with your resident dog is required to make sure it`s a good match. Compatibility with cats and children is unknown. Bruiser is currently available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes his full vetting — including neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and heartworm testing. It’s a great way to bond with him while we take care of the rest.If you want to add Bruiser to your family, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out a dog adoption application online.
