Hello, future family! My name is Laya, and I’m a beautiful, coated German Shepherd girl with a heart as big as my paws. I’m about two years young, and after a whirlwind adventure with my three adorable puppies (they’re about four months old now!), I found myself at the Yuma Humane Society. Thanks to the wonderful people there—and a little help from my wagging tail—I made my way all the way to Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Now, I’m patiently waiting for my forever home, and maybe, just maybe, that’s with you! Let’s talk about my fabulous fur—it’s long, soft, and oh-so-luxurious! I do require a little extra pampering in the grooming department. Regular brushing keeps me looking and feeling my best, and I promise to reward you with tail wags and loving gazes during every session. I’m a big girl for a lady shepherd, so I’ll need a secure fence to keep me safe while I explore the yard. I love being with my people and don’t want to be left outside all by myself—I’d much rather stick by your side, soaking up all the cuddles, belly rubs, and love you can spare. Walks are one of my favorite things, and I’m already pretty good on a leash! I’m up to date on all my vaccinations, and I’ve been spayed—so my puppy-raising days are behind me, and I can focus on being the best companion ever. I’m also microchipped, which means I’ll always be able to find my way home. I get along well with other male dogs my size, but I haven’t met any cats yet, so I can’t say for sure how we’d get along. Since I don’t have a background story to tell, I might need a little patience as I figure out if I’m house trained—but I’m eager to learn and please! Are you ready to open your heart and home to a loyal, loving girl like me? If you’d like to meet me and see if we’re the perfect match, please e-mail my friends at mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. I can’t wait to start my happily-ever-after with you! PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail. All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis.
