Dolly Pupton was brought to the shelter on 7/24 because she got lost. She quickly was placed with a foster-to-adopt family, but sadly, they had to return her. Miss Pupton is only 4 years old and weighs a mere 43 lbs. The volunteers describe her as precious, sweet, cute, enthusiastic, eager to please, and very loving and easy on the leash. She is a smart young lady as she knows how to sit when asked and she may know more. Dolly is special in other ways and needs a rescue or patient family to help her be the great dog she is destined to be. She has separation anxiety issues and misses her family so much if they are away. Dolly also is heartworm positive and is taking doxycycline in preparation for her heartworm treatments. For her anxiety, she is currently taking gabapentin and trazadone. That said, Dolly Pupton is a sweetheart and volunteers love her. She is current on vaccines and spayed. The other good news is that dogs who are treated for heartworms usually go on to live long and healthy lives. Please take some time and visit with her; her ID is 12177. She is waiting for you!
