My story

Dolly Pupton was brought to the shelter on 7/24 because she got lost. She quickly was placed with a foster-to-adopt family, but sadly, they had to return her. Miss Pupton is only 4 years old and weighs a mere 43 lbs. The volunteers describe her as precious, sweet, cute, enthusiastic, eager to please, and very loving and easy on the leash. She is a smart young lady as she knows how to sit when asked and she may know more. Dolly is special in other ways and needs a rescue or patient family to help her be the great dog she is destined to be. She has separation anxiety issues and misses her family so much if they are away. Dolly also is heartworm positive and is taking doxycycline in preparation for her heartworm treatments. For her anxiety, she is currently taking gabapentin and trazadone. That said, Dolly Pupton is a sweetheart and volunteers love her. She is current on vaccines and spayed. The other good news is that dogs who are treated for heartworms usually go on to live long and healthy lives. Please take some time and visit with her; her ID is 12177. She is waiting for you! Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt DOLLY PUPTON(Rescue or Foster), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
