Aura

My story

Aura came into our program under unusual circumstances. She was found injured on the side of the road by a kind passerby and brought to our spay and neuter clinic. At first, we were not sure if Aura would want to be an indoor cat, but her time in foster care has proven that she does. Aura is still very young, likely under a year old, but her time surviving on her own has left her a little cautious. The good news is that she is very food motivated, and her fosters have used that to help her build trust. Step by step, Aura has been coming out of her shell. While she can still be startled by loud noises, she is now exploring her foster home more, enjoying affection, and beginning to show how much she likes being cared for. Aura is ready for the next step—her forever home. She would do best in a calmer, low traffic household without young children where she can continue to blossom at her own pace.
