Atlas

My story

Atlas is approx. eight months old. He was found running in and out of traffic, trying to get someone to stop to help his sister, who was hit by a car. Sadly, she did not make it. A kind Samaritan stopped, opened her car door, and Atlas jumped in. She took him to her work (ER vet) where he was checked out. Thankfully, Atlas passed his vet check w/flying colors and is 100% healthy. Atlas is in a foster home with two foster siblings with who he plays with 24/7. He’s curious about cats but doesn’t harm them. He’s a total snuggle bug but also very active (typical GSD). He is housebroken and crate-trained. He loves to be with his siblings and humans at night. He loves toys, water, and is very good on the leash. Atlas has been good with every dog he has met. He loves to play and is more on the submissive side. Atlas is a perfect passenger prince! He does get excited when meeting new people, but he is learning “off”. Atlas is the typical “mouthy” adolescent and will grab your hand (or forearm) for attention, but is learning that this is not acceptable behavior. If you are looking for a perfect running, hiking, or traveling buddy, Atlas is your guy. He would do best in a home with an active single, couple, or a family with adult kids, someone who can and will keep him active during the day but would love to snuggle with him at night.
