My story

Meet Vickie! Don't let the grumpy face fool you - this little lady is the sweetest, most loving senior tripod.Vickie is around 10 years old, and was surrendered to local animal control after she sustained an injury to her leg that her owner was not able to afford treatment for. From her arrival at the shelter, Vickie was painful & limping and so scared that she wouldn't eat or use the litterbox. We had her seen by our vets and found that part of her hind leg was shattered and would need to be amputated. She's been so much more comfortable after her surgery, and is adjusting really well to being a tripod kitty! It took some time for her to settle in and get used to her new environment but over the past two weeks she has turned into the sweetest, mushiest little lady! She's so gentle, and although she's still struggling to adjust to being in a crowded shelter, the second you enter her cage and sit with her she begins to purr and look for affection - she'll even flop over onto her back for belly rubs!At 10 years old, Vickie should be spending her golden years in a loving forever home.
