My story

Meet Victor – a pint-sized underdog with big love to give to the right family. He's a 5-year-old, 14lb Min Pin mix with a playful and inquisitive nature. He's made huge strides in his foster home and would thrive in a calm household with routine and patience. Health and Home - Victor has signs of disc degeneration in his back, but this hasn't slowed him down! He's grown stronger with regular exercise and can go up/down stairs and beds/couches. We do recommend using ramps for higher pieces of furniture to prevent any injuries (as with any small dog). So, what’s Victor like? • Initially a little shy and skittish, he's blossomed into a snugglebug and toy fanatic at home! He loves lap-time and playing with his humans. Balls? Squeakers? Plushies? He'll eagerly play with you before snuggling next to you on the couch. * When he's not busy playing with you, Victor is very calm around the house. He loves snoozing in his crate or the couch and is comfortable being left home alone for several hours. • When outside, Victor is completely neutral to people, animals, and pets in the ‘hood. Trips to beer gardens and farmers' markets have been easy and stress-free. • Victor is a gentle walker and is curious about all the sights and sounds of the world around him. Walks are easy and mellow; he also loves following you around the yard. If you’re a gardener, he would be your velcro flower dog. • Paws Off, Please: Victor is very picky about his paws being touched. However, after a couple weeks, he’s grown to tolerate being handled like a champ! But because of this, we recommend an adult-only home or one with mature kids who know how to respect a small dog's boundaries. Victor is a handsome little guy with so much love to give. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
