My story

Meet Victor – a pint-sized underdog with big love to give for the right family. He's a 5-year-old, 14lb Min Pin mix with an playful and inquisitive nature. He's made HUGE strides in his foster home and would thrive in a quiet home that can offer him security with a routine. Health and Home - Victor has disc degeneration in his back, so his future home needs to be mindful of his movement and pain management. He's ok with stairs and beds/couches, but ramps are recommended for his long term spine health. So, what’s Victor like? • During his time in his foster home, he’s really opened up to them and turned out to be a huge snuggler. He loves lap-time and playing with his humans. He’s begun to open up with play with the resident dog as well. • He’s completely neutral to other dogs in the ‘hood—no drama, no playdates either. Cats are unknown. • This little guy was initially a little picky but has now developed a healthy motivation for food. • Victor is a gentle walker and is curious on his walks—not reactive—to the sights and sounds of the world around him. He’s a slow walker and actually prefers to follow you around the yard. If you’re a gardener, he would love to be your velcro flower dog. • Paws Off, Please: Victor is sensitive about his paws being touched and initially nipped his foster mom when she first tried to clean him. However, after a couple weeks he’s grown to tolerate being handled like a champ! But because of this we recommend an adult-only home or one with mature kids who know how to respect a dog's boundaries. Victor is a handsome little guy with tons of potential. He just needs a patient person and a routine to give him the security and time to blossom into the confident, cuddly companion he's meant to be. If you're ready to put in the effort to win him over, he's ready to love you. If you are interested in finding out more about Victor, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Victor is being fostered in Arlington, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Victor, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
