What my friends at ACC say about me:I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.A volunteer writes: When I saw Domino on his walk yesterday, it was hard to picture the frightened boy who arrived at Manhattan ACC in July. He came with his sister (Juliette, adopted) when his human faced housing insecurity that forced them to give up their dogs. His notes say he tucked his tail and kept his body low to the ground while waiting, staring in the direction of the kennel rooms when he heard barking.I never met that boy. I met the one in this video, silly and playful, rubbing against me like a cat, carrying his toys around. Domino is the fuzzy, blocky headed black and white cookie my personal dreams are made of. I love a big personality, and he is a bit of a handful. Only a year old, and coming from what seems to have been a loving home, Domino is looking for that once again. He's available to a home with some experience and one without young kids. At the shelter he's had some reactivity, and in his gate greeting he was aloof with the other dog and his former home reports he was tolerant. Meet Domino at Queens ACC.
