My story

How this pet arrived: Benji was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on 7/8/2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Benji is a lively young terrier with a big personality and a curious heart! He's full of energy, super smart, and always ready for the next adventure-as long as you go at his pace. Benji is working on sharing his favorite things and has done well with trade-outs (offering him something even better in exchange). With a little structure, some puppy-proofing, and clear communication, he's learning that good things happen when you share! He's still figuring out the whole "car ride" thing-getting in can be tricky for him. In the future, he may do best riding in a crate or with some positive reinforcement training to help him feel more comfortable. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Benji's going to make an awesome, well-rounded companion. Sound like he's your guy? At SDHS:Benji has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
