My story

Introducing Carlos, a young gentleman with a playful spirit, a loyal heart, and a whole lot of love to give. This handsome boy is looking for a forever home that can match his energy, intelligence, and his need for a little extra care. Carlos comes to us with a glowing report from his previous owners: he’s sweet, affectionate, and loves toys—all toys! Whether it squeaks, bounces, or tugs, Carlos is all in... though he does tend to play hard, so you`ll want to keep a good supply on hand!Smart and eager to please, Carlos is a fantastic candidate for training. He learns quickly and wants to make his people happy. That said, he’s still mastering his manners. He can pull hard on leash and occasionally jumps up when excited, so he’ll benefit from continued guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement. Because of this, we ask that any kids in his future home be age 10 or older. Carlos also experiences anxiety that may be long-term, so he’s looking for a calm, understanding home that can offer him the love, patience, and support he needs to truly thrive. He may do well with another playful dog companion after a slow and thoughtful introduction. We recommend that Carlos` adopters have previous dog experience, so they’re prepared to support his training and emotional needs as he settles in. With the right family, we know this sweet shepherd will grow into the confident, happy companion he’s meant to be.
