My story

Microchipped, DOB: April 3, 2023 Georgia is a stunning girl who is looking for that special person to give her a forever home. She came from a partner shelter, so we don’t know much about her history, but we do know she needs to be adopted by someone who can give her the patience and love she deserves. At first glance, she seems to accept pets and attention, but it’s only when cornered. She will tolerate pets but when given the chance she will run and hide. In her foster home she has taken longer to adjust to her surroundings than other cats and is still very nervous around people and will hide most of the day. She will come out to eat and if treats happen to be dropped on the floor at that time she will hang around for a while before going back to her hiding space in the closet. At night when humans are in bed is when she comes out for her leisurely walk and naps out in the open on the couch. While she is showing progress it’s been slow going. She doesn’t seem to mind other cats after a slow introduction and if they let her have her space that is (although she has been found sharing a bed with another cat). Yet she also doesn’t seem to need them. While a friendly cat to show her the ropes would be helpful, what she needs most of all is a quiet home and someone who has a great amount of patience and is willing to let her settle and grow at her own pace. With time her true personality will shine.
