My story

SPELT is the cutest little short-haired brown tabby male kitten. His thumbs are outsized, giving him the appearance of wearing mittens. A lively, affectionate kitten, Spelt needs to be reminded not to use his teeth or claws when playing with humans – but he loves wand toys and romping with the other kittens in his litter. He is interested in affection and playtime, and is friendly and energetic. He will delight a family that enjoys his energy and appreciates his abilities as an entertainer. Spelt was found with his littermates in a barn in Pleasant Hill and rescued by a kind cat lover. He is looking for a forever home with one of his siblings or into a household which already has a young cat or kitten for companionship. SPELT has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. His adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  You can meet SPELT at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in North Eugene (2847 Chad Dr, across from Costco).  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet.   The $175 adoption fee ($320 for two kittens) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
