Greta the Toothless;)

My story

Timid but sweet Greta has not a single tooth left in her mouth after her long overdue dental, and she’s feeling much better! This gentle girl is about 6-8 years old and spent her life being used for breeding. She has unique light silver coloring with a hint of chocolate/liver in her face and nose. She’s alert and curious about her surroundings and still getting used to life outside of a puppy mill- not as shut down as some of the others and has found her schnauzer voice already, a great conversationalist. She loves other dogs and is most comfortable in their presence, and will need a calm patient home with at least one other doggie buddy to help show her the ropes. She’s tall and lean, about 12lbs and has been spayed so her breeding days are behind her. Housebreaking and walking on a leash are foreign concepts to dogs from puppymills but she is learning to follow the other dogs and go outside in a fenced yard or on wee wee pads- she’s definitely a copy cat and another dog will be her best trainer. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
