My story

Animal Profile: Huck is an approximately 6-7 month old, 50 lb male black lab/pittie mix that joined us from San Bernardino in California on 6/23/25. Huck is a friendly boy with people and other dogs, and will need basic training. We will share more about Huck as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: So far we love everything about this sweet easy going boy! Huck seems to be a lovely mix of playful and snuggly. He has a few of the basics down and he wants to keep learning. Huck is good in the car and loves being with his people so he will be a great adventure dog. He sleeps soundly in his crate and walks nicely on a leash but will pull after squirrels and he has a curious sniffer! He did fantastic with two other large dogs in temporary foster care, too. We will update his profile as we get to know him better! Huck will need a single family home with a securely fenced yard. If you are looking for adventure partner Huck is your guy. We are not considering apartment for him. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration.
