I am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.Meet Syrax!56 lbs | Female | White Shepherd | Heartworm Positive (Treatment Options Available)Syrax is a stunning white Shepherd with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give. Weighing in at 56 pounds, she's energetic, affectionate, and not afraid to use her voice when she wants attention—which is often, because she loves her people! This sweet girl is always up for a good time, especially if toys are involved. Balls are her absolute favorite, and she’ll happily entertain herself—or invite you in on the fun. Syrax also enjoys pets and affection, often leaning in or nudging you for more when the cuddles stop.Syrax is currently Heartworm positive, but don’t let that stop you—treatment options are available and can be discussed with our front desk staff. She would do best in a foster-to-adopt home, where she can recover in a calm, loving environment. If you're looking for a loyal, active, and loving companion who’s ready to be your best friend through it all, Syrax is your girl.I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. For more information on heartworms, please visit the American Heartworm Society here https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basicsHSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Syrax (Closing time), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
