My story

Est DOB 6/2021 Meet Raleigh – A Little Gentleman with a Big Heart! Raleigh may be small, but his personality is anything but! This sweet, gentle boy was found as a stray, and we suspect he may have come from a backyard breeding situation. Whether he escaped or was abandoned, one thing’s for sure, Raleigh is ready to leave the past behind and discover what it truly means to be loved. Raleigh is a true lap dog. He’s happiest curled up next to his person, drifting off to sleep while you watch TV or read a book. He’s currently learning the ropes of potty training and is improving every day. He also knows how to use a doggie door, smart and adaptable! He gets along well with other dogs but would likely thrive best as an only dog or with just one calm companion. Since everything is still new to him—he doesn’t even quite know what dog toys are yet. Raleigh is just beginning to discover the joy of being a in a loving home.  With love, patience, and guidance, we know he will blossom into the loyal, happy companion he was always meant to be. As we are a foster based rescue, we require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :   Apply Now (almosthomepetrescue.org) $200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates. If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500.
