My story

Description of pet Meet Zara – your new best friend in a snuggly, snorty, no-sharing-needed package! Zara is a 2.5-year-old Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix with a gorgeous merle coat, one striking blue eye, and a whole lot of love to give — but only to you. Weighing about 32 pounds, she’s compact, athletic, and always ready for a cuddle… as long as she’s the center of your world. Zara has lived with dogs, cats, and kids before — but make no mistake, she prefers to be your one and only. She’s a little jealous by nature and doesn’t want to share her people, her space, or her spotlight with any other furry roommates. Playdates with calm dog friends outside the home might be fine, but Zara is happiest ruling her castle solo. A true queen deserves her own throne, right? Despite her diva tendencies, Zara is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loyal. She’s the perfect blend of snuggly and sporty — down for a long walk or hike (she’d happily do a mile or more a day), but equally content snoozing next to you while snorting like a happy little piglet. Apartment living isn’t the right fit for this athletic girl — she needs room to stretch those legs and burn her energy. Zara came to us in rough shape, with severely inflamed skin due to untreated allergies and likely years spent confined to a crate. With medicated baths, antibiotics, and a strict chicken-free diet (venison is her friend!), she’s now thriving. Her new family will need to stick with her allergy-friendly routine to keep her feeling her best. She’s still working through some crate-related anxiety but continues to make great progress. She’s not highly food motivated, but she blossoms with love, consistency, and a predictable routine. We do keep applications on file for 90days in case the dog you apply for it already adopted or not the right fit simply email us to forward your application on to another dog of interest. Our dogs are in foster homes all over the Bay Area and all adopters are required to travel to the foster home to meet. We do not have a facility. No meet and greet can happen until application is completed. Our Commitment to Our Dogs Every dog in our care receives comprehensive veterinary care, including: • Spay/Neuter surgery • Microchipping • DHPP vaccination • Flea treatment and deworming • Rabies vaccination • Any additional vet care as needed The adoption fee for this dog is $350, serving as a non-refundable donation to help cover vetting, transport, and care costs.
